Working out regularly, eating good food and hanging out with my friends helps me gain control....
College stress mainly comes from keeping up with classes and maintaining high grades. For international students like myself, there’s an additional source of stress: having extremely competitive grades to find a job after graduation, getting an internship every summer, “not disappointing people at home”, acquiring a sense of belonging ,and so much more. Although stress is an inevitable part of life, it is important to maintain a healthy amount of stress, just enough to motivate you.
I have found that working out regularly, eating good food and hanging out with my friends helps me gain control over stress. However, that does not always work as that depends on the situation and what you need at the moment. There’s so many tips out there on how to deal with stress but you should try different things and stick to what works for you.
Sometimes, nothing works, and you just have to go through whatever is causing you stress with calm and patience, knowing that life is made of ups and lows
